MODSIM ORGANISATIONAL STANDARDS
CODE OF CONDUCT
Membership of MODSIM carries a responsibility to protect the friendly, professional and cooperative character of the organisation. These standards apply to all members, applicants, training activities, operations, meetings, forums and other MODSIM communications.
1. Respect and Courtesy
Treat every member with courtesy, patience and respect. Personal attacks, intimidation, bullying, harassment, discrimination and abusive language are not acceptable.
2. Professional Behaviour
Members should behave in a mature and responsible manner. Good humour is encouraged, but not at another person's expense or in a way that disrupts MODSIM activities.
3. Teamwork
MODSIM depends upon cooperation. Members should support one another, share knowledge, assist less-experienced pilots and contribute positively to squadron and organisational life.
4. Operational Discipline
During training, exercises and operations, members should follow briefings, safety instructions and the directions of the person responsible for the activity.
5. Chain of Responsibility
Appointments and ranks exist to organise MODSIM effectively. Questions and disagreements may be raised respectfully through the appropriate MODSIM channels.
6. Fairness and Inclusion
Membership decisions, training assessments, appointments and awards should be based on conduct, contribution, ability and the needs of the organisation.
7. Honesty
Members must provide truthful information, maintain accurate records and must not falsely claim qualifications, experience, rank, awards or achievements.
8. Privacy and Confidentiality
Personal information, private communications and internal organisational matters must not be shared outside MODSIM without proper permission.
9. Protecting MODSIM
Members must not deliberately disrupt activities, damage MODSIM systems, misuse organisational material or behave in a way that brings MODSIM into disrepute.
10. Resolving Problems
Concerns should be raised calmly and privately wherever possible. MODSIM will seek a fair response, which may include advice, mediation, a warning, suspension or termination of membership.

By joining MODSIM, each member agrees to uphold these standards, accept reasonable guidance and help create an organisation in which people can learn, fly and enjoy one another's company.
